Taksim, which is frequently encountered at the beginning, middle of a chapter or during the transition between songs in different maqams, is based on the principle of preparing the listener's ear in advance, in accordance with the maqam of the works to be performed after it. Taksim, which is performed based on improvisation within the rules of the relevant maqam, is similar to "gazel" in Classical Turkish vocal music and “açış" which is a form of performance that is played improvisationally with any instrument before a melody with free rhythm or rhythm, but overlaps with the melodic structure of the melody to be played afterwards in Turkish folk music. As a phenomenon that we encounter in almost all musical genres, it is of great importance that improvisation can be conveyed in a systematic way not only in terms of artistic activities but also in education and training life. Taksim, a genre based on improvisation in Classical Turkish music, not only provides a free space for performers to express themselves, but also requires a great deal of musical knowledge. Performers should have both technical mastery of the instrument and theoretical knowledge of all the characteristics of the maqam to be performed. Although taksims are evaluated as meterless/rhythmless when notated, a good ear can recognize that the taksim has a rhythmic structure within itself. In this study, in order to show that the flow of the motifs used in the taksim as a rhythmic structure, the melodies are divided into individual motifs using the rhythms with a unit value of 1/8 in Classical Turkish music. In the taksim notated with this method, the rhythmic structure contained in the melodies was applied to the "usûl" with tempo changes. The most meaningful use of this artistic form can be seen within the art of dance. In the art of dance, we can say that there are two meanings of the choreography.  The first of these refers to dance writing or notation. Notation focuses on the spatial and rhythmic structure of the movement for the analysis of dance. In the second sense, it refers to a production process where creativity takes center stage in designing, producing, conseptualizing, and presenting dance.  Turkish Folk Dances are considered as a "choreographic" material in the traditions of performance, teaching and staging. In connection with the concept of "authenticity" in the formation process of the tradition, the practices made in Turkish Folk Dances are not considered choreography. In this study, the word choreography will be examined in both etymological and semiotic fields. The use of the concept of choreography in traditional dance cultures will be analyzed and suggestions will be presented on how choreographic practices can be accepted in the context of Turkish Folk Dances. Throughout history, people have developed the ability to improvise in music, theater, dance, and other performing arts, utilizing key elements such as quick thinking, originality, and freedom. There are many studies in the literature about the art of improvisation. These works contain rich information about the emergence of improvisation as a form, its practices in different disciplines, and its stages. However, only a small portion of these studies touch upon the relationship between improvisation and traditional dance, particularly in the discipline of Turkish Folk Dances. These studies have remained superficial and have mostly considered improvisation as a basis for choreography. The aim of this study is to explain the position of improvisation in the tradition of Turkish Folk Dances. By referencing the relevant literature, the discussions in this study aim to show that improvisation plays a fundamental role in the production of Turkish Folk Dances. Turkey, with its multicultural structure, has one of the richest traditional dance cultures in the world. It is possible to come across different dance cultures in every province of our country, even in the districts and villages of the same province. Despite this richness, there is almost no data that can be handled scientifically because not enough field research has been done. The most comprehensive compilation studies in our country were carried out in the 1980s by HAGEM (General Directorate of Folk Culture Research and Development), which was established under the Ministry of Culture in the 1970s. Apart from a few personal efforts, there has not been sufficient institutional and scientific interest in collecting this rich data in the field since then.  The data obtained with the video technique used in fieldwork 30-40 years ago is nowadays only very poor quality, low pixel images. It is almost impossible to detect sound and movement details from this data. In addition, many videotapes have become obsolete over time, resulting in the loss of the collected information. Although the data collected is very valuable, it is almost impossible to integrate it into today's technology, given the technology of the period in which it was collected. If it is not identified and preserved and/or transferred to future generations, it is inevitable that this data, which is limited to the lifetime of the individual, will be lost. For this reason, it is essential that the data collected through field research is technologically processed, preserved and shared under a digital library infrastructure. In today's globalized world, it is very difficult to encounter local cultural elements that are still living and surviving. Considering the point reached by technology, every element that cannot adapt to the digital age is either left far behind or disappears. From this point of view, it is of great importance to collect, archive and process the data of this rich culture in the most accurate way.  Looking at the world in general, it is seen that the most advanced technology used in this field is motion capture technology. Therefore, the effect of this power is undeniable in the study of a region, community or area, in the research of origin, geographical structure, climate, culture, belief, clothing and even fabrics. Şalpazarı district of Trabzon province is one of the best examples reflecting this statement with its migration, beliefs and cultural structure. In this sense, it has been important to examine the cultural elements of Şalpazarı district of Trabzon province, the factors affecting the formation of these elements and the folk dance clothes, which are the focus of the research, due to the unknown aspects of the past and the information that is not sufficiently included in the records. The aim of the research is to examine the women's clothing of Şalpazarı (Ağasar) district of Trabzon province, to compile the characteristics and usage areas of the clothes by accessing visual records. In line with the findings obtained in the research, it was seen that Ağasar district was named Şalpazarı after the migration of Çepni and cultural characteristics were integrated with the district. In addition, it was noted that the word “shal” means fabric, and the clothes reflect the Çepnis and cultural values with both motifs and colors. As a result, it was noteworthy that Şalpazarı women's clothes differed according to age, marital status and special occasions, with the elderly using darker colors and the young using more colorful fabrics and objects. As a matter of fact, it has been clearly revealed that migration, age, gender and marital status variables, geographical structure, climatic conditions, cultural characteristics and social values are reflected in clothing. The results of the research are expected to contribute to the field and future generations, and it is expected that this research, which is almost non-existent, will increase. The traditional structure was mixed with different dance forms and their natural genetic structures were changed and presented under the name of choreographic studies. Art and stage anxiety brought rhythmic, melodic or figurative changes in the dances that were carried from the natural environment of the rules. Changes made through Turkish Folk Dances generally appear in the form of designs made through music and figure structures. During the staging process, noticing structures in which the movements did not fully coincide with the musical structure revealed the existence of incompatible (irregular) and harmonious (regular) figure structures. Thoughts such as performing the dance in a limited time and uniform performance of the figures have led to a tendency towards uniformity in dances. In addition, as music began to become uniform, music identified with dances emerged. For example, for a dance performed with more than one piece of music, a single type of music that is claimed to be special to it and belongs to it has begun to be preferred. Ahmet Bey folk dance is just one of these examples. This study is based on the traditional version of the Ahmet Bey dance.  In this study, it is explained how the changes we mentioned take place, with the example of the Ahmet Bey dances. At the same time, the reasons for the needs that caused the changes in the structure of the dances were also revealed.
