Aras River also occupies such an important role for being choosing to living and residential areas with several natural features. The Middle Aras Basin have significant water resources including rivers, Igdir Plain, the Ararat Mount and many other beauties of nature as well as has productive agricultural areas. On the other hand, The Middle Aras River Basin is in a key geographical location between Asia and Europe and this strategic location known as an area historical Silk Road across. The strategic importance of basin remains significant for centuries as it today is. However, in recent years there is a rapid migration stream to this basin and agricultural areas as a result of this development is opened to new buildings in order to overcome housing requirements of new comers. The result of this construction, agricultural land is shrinking in basin and agricultural production is declining. For example, in I?d?r Plain cotton production has ended and the encyclical, apricot and apple orchard areas are narrowed. These declines are occurring in the amount of fruits and vegetables grown primarily in the Plains of Igdir. In fact, it is observed that the internal migration and urbanization along region change the economic preferences of people of region and where there is a tendency of converting the areas to settlement instead of agriculture in the basin.
