It is one of the most important classical piece in the fields of politics and administration. It explains the Farabi’s approaches on city and society. In El-Medinetu’l Fazila the work of Farabi (870-950), who is a well-known scholar in politics and philosophy, the concepts of virtue and happiness are based on ethics. According to him, the ultimate goal of the state should be to establish virtue and happiness. In this context, Farabi argues that a leader’s competency must be based on physical, personal and moral qualities. Farabi attributes 12 qualifications to the first leader and governor of the virtuous city. On the other hand, it is unlikely for someone to embody all these qualities in one person. If the successors of the first leader should pursue the established system and laws if they are not possess required capabilities. It was an important guiding source on the central and local governments. This study is a theoretical research based on the reladed literature. While ElMedinetu’l Fazila is the primary data source for the discussions, the research also uses secondary sources on this master piece to strengthen the arguments of the study. Judging the discussions and analyses of the scientistists and experts on the topic, it seems that they have not been able to reach a consensus on where the boundaries of Europe begin and finish and who the Europeans are. The studies show that the priority of the European Union has been such common interests as the unity in economy and safety, rather than the identity. In other words, in order to frame peace and stability, the Union has given priority on defending Europe from all threats. To achieve this, the Union brought France and Germany, which led to battles in Europe, together under the roof of the union and transferred the control of such important mines as coal and steel to a supra-national organ. Between 1958 and 1992, the European states went through various stages and dealt with economic integration process. Having a common market community in 1992, the Union tried to develop political relations among the member states after 1993. However, the European states did not have any serious efforts forming an European identity. With the Maastricht Treaty, which was put into action in 1993, the European states began to give importance on political collaboration and laid the foundation of having a common European identity. However, today it can be seen that despite the efforts of the union on identity, it has been unsuccessful at such a goal. In this study, it is analyzed whether the member states in the union will be able to converge on the issue of common identity. Besides, the study analyses how the European identity is perceived within Europe and outside Europe, because there are different opinions about what the European identity is and how it should be. At the end of the study, it is concluded that the factors holding the union together are not the common identity but the shared projects and goals. These elements interact mutually in the urban fabric. In general, cities have been partially destroyed and new structures not designed with aesthetic considerations in countries that have experienced rapid and unplanned urbanisation, such as Turkey. In contrast, cities where planned and orderly urbanisation took place, such as Scotland and England, combine the physical and cultural environment harmoniously. As urban settlements become ever more crowded due to the working and living conditions they offer, a regard for urban aesthetics becomes increasingly imperative. One of the main aims of this study is to discuss urban aesthetics, contrasting Istanbul, which has experienced unplanned urbanisation and Edinburgh, which has widely been accepted as one of the best examples of orderly urbanisation. Abstract: Job satisfaction and codes of ethic are vital phenomenons affecting organizations’ success. Because the services presented by The Turkish National Police are related to citizens’ security, rights and life quality, police officers’ level of job satisfaction and attitudes towards codes of ethic have a critic role in the organization. Therefore, this current study investigated police officers’ level of job satisfaction and attitudes towards codes of ethic. Since it was hypothesized that one of the consequences of low level of job satisfaction might be negatives attitudes towards police codes of ethic, this study also investigated the relationship between these two phenomenons. Data were collected from 314 police officers through questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson Product Moment Correlation on SPSS 17.0. Findings showed that police officers had a mid-level job satisfaction. They perceived that some of unethical behaviors are more serious than some others, and they thought these more serious unethical behaviors should be punished more severely. On the other hand, they believed these more serious unethical behaviors are seen less frequently in the organization. More importantly, findings showed that there are partly significant relationships between seriousness levels of unethical behaviors and level of job satisfaction. These findings might be useful to better understand police officers’ job satisfaction and their attitudes towards codes of ethic. Findings can guide the police organization to increase police officers’ job satisfaction and to educate officers in terms of code of conducts. Tokat of which the history backs BC Dates to the year 3000 is one of the most important settlements in Central Black Sea region. Tokat hosted many nations and people starting from the ancient Byzantine period such as Byzantine, Arab , Persian , Mongol and Turks until today. . This " multi-culturalism" is obviously manifested in the material and spiritual cultural values. Both folk dance colthes and daily clothes are the evidence of the richness and diversity of the cultural heritage . Although Tokat’s in the transition zone, it is mainly classified as “Halay Dance Type” in terms of Folk Dances an done of the oldest dance known in Tokat is still “ shoulder " dance . It is also called "arbor"dance. Shoulder ( arbor ) dance used to be acted by men in the past. However, it is known that women - men are played in a mixed dance especially after the spread of folk dance competitions with the “staging” fact since the end of the year 1970. It is obvious that this dance has a different feature among Turkish folk dance because women perform the dance on the shoulder of men. Although different meanings assigned in the past to shoulder dance, today it is thought to symbolize "the value given to women ".
