Gibran’s works contain the synthesis of both the Eastern and Western cultures in which he grew up. The subject of woman is explored in Gibran’s essays, especially in “The Madman” and “The Wanderer”. In these brief works, rich with wisdom and philosophical thoughts, the subject of woman is approached from a unique point of view. According to Gibran, woman is love, affection and a possessor of the heart. Gibran, who very often compares opposites such as joy and sorrow, birth and death, love and hate, sometimes presents woman as two opposite sides of the world. Sometimes the subject of woman in Gibran’s essays is related to the subject of old generations. In Gibran’s essays, the subject of woman is presented in the context of both the Eastern and Western thought traditions. In the essays, “On Giving and Taking,” “Ambition,” “The Other Language” included in “The Madman” and “The Love Song,” “At the Fair,” “The Two Princesses” included in “The Wanderer” and in the other essays we notice Gibran’s unique approach to the subject of woman. In this study, residential baths are examined as private washing places located in the houses of 18th century Istanbul highranking state officials according to the Muhallefat Defters in the Ottoman Archives of the Turkish Prime Ministry. Confiscation of the property and registering the goods in the sealed houses by the officers enabling us to reach important information like detailed presentation of places and where space facilities are located. In this context, data about housing baths provides enlightening information as the physical properties of these spaces and the furnishing elements. Because it is a practice that firstly comes from the upper classes as a part of the process that begins with the water being delivered to the houses, it is also meaningful to choose the study area of the houses of Ottoman bureaucrats. It is thought that these baths have similar named parts exhibit a space organization in a similar way to the typological characteristics of the public baths in urban texture. Besides their positioning and segmentation of residential baths information is also provided on the objects such as seating elements, frames, bath sets, hammocks, bowls, loincloths, towels, and soaps. To prepare both two documents correctly is extremely important to dispose of the possible risks based on the property and continuity of the bank guarantee for the payment by letter of credit. There are three vital components in which ensure the exporter companies to prepare the bill of landing and policies agreeable to the letter of credit. These three crucial components as follows; terms and conditions of the letter of credit, UCP 600 and ISPB 745. Since to be able to accurately submit under the three sources mentioned above needs at a certain level of experience and knowledge, it is observed that the localized companies in Turkey who actualize foreign business and prefer to pay with letter of credit experience contradiction in terms on preparing applicable documents, cannot benefit from the guarantee of the payment obligation of the issuing bank and if any, the confirming bank by submitting discrepant document. In addition to this, these companies receive the export proceeds late and pay extra charges/commission. It has become an important tradition in our kıyâfet-nâme literature, which has been preserved both as a poet and a poet. According to our findings, the author has a specific and indefinite text of 33 independent kıyâfet-nâme. In addition, 9 examples of kıyâfet-nâme are included in various works of art. Again in some mathnawi we see kıyâfet-nâme. In the Ottoman literature, the first example of kıyâfet-nâme is found in the Murâd-nâme mathnawi of Bedr-i Dilşâd. In this study, Nev’î-zâde Atâî, who is one of the 17th century poets, will be introduced and introduced to the kıyâfet-nâme in the mathnawi of Sohbetü’l-Ebkâr composed of 3450 couplets which he received by being influenced by the work of Molla Câmi’s Sübhatü’l-Ebrâr, the function of the construction of the mathnawi will be noted. His written observations, during visiting different cities within the Ottoman territory are the references, which are used even today. The priest and scientist Dr. John Covel comes to land of Ottoman in the same year with Galland, in order to examine the Orthodox Church. Different information related to the Turkish society is found in his diary. Briefly said that, Galland writes about many subjects with a simply style, without details. He gives information about bloodletting, autopsy, pest, malaria, nephrostomy, like plants used in the production of medicines, about illness and cure directly, as well as the iophobia of upper- class, compares the Turkish and French’s attitude against illness. As for Dr. Covel, he focused mostly on pest, a subject also mentioned specially by Galland, with a detailed and descriptive explanation. Besides, the traveler deals with the subject as spreading form of illness, people’s attitude against the contagious illnesses. He also mentions the reactions to illnesses, superstitions, the similarities and the differences of Greeks, Armenians, Jews and Turks under the Ottoman sovereignty. Briefly, the French traveler compares the Turkish and his own nation’s attitude against illnesses and informs about that period. In addition, “The Priest’s Diary” refers to the attitudes of different nations against the illnesses in a different point of view. This makes it convenient for poets regarding poetic texts based on narration. Such kind of poetic tales as Leyla and Mecnun, Husrev and Shirin, Yusuf and Zuleyha on love have been written in this style and when it comes to mathnawis, what springs in our minds is such kinds of texts. And Işkiyyat-i Iskender, which is the subject of this article, is a specific tale of love which is in the mathnawi of Ahmedi called İskender-name, a poet of 14. century. In the article, Işkiyyat-i Iskender will be examined regarding textual composition, and structure of the tale and will be evaluated with respect to showing the some shared characteristics of folk tales and legends on view of the episodes and patterns.
