As a result of these migrations organized by Zionism and the terror and ethnic cleansing conducted against the autochthonous people of the region, the Israeli State was founded. Despite UN’s distribution decision in 1947 and suggestion of a two-state solution, the uncompromising attitude of Israel still renders the Palestinian issue a significant problem of the international agenda. The USA, which verged on the two-state solution in the recent years, digressed from this approach upon Trump’s election as the president. Trump’s decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem against the UN decisions is an indicator of that change in the approach. The reactions following this decision rendered this issue a current problem once again. In this study, which investigates the Palestinian people’s right to a state and Israel government’s attitude, the perspective of both parties were analyzed in terms of self-determination. The aim of the study is to emphasize the basis of the Palestinian people’s freedom demand and the issues that would arise in case this demand is actualized.
