The study group was determined using the typical sampling technique, which is one of the purposeful sampling methods. In the interviews, besides their personal information, demographic questions were asked to determine the characteristics of the patients, and then the problem-solving tendencies of the patients' relatives regarding the care process, their views on external support and obstacles in the care process, and the effects of caring for the Alzheimer's patient on their physical, emotional and social lives were examined. As a result of the meeting, it is seen that the views about care for Alzheimer's patients cluster around four themes. The first theme of the study is about the problem-solving tendencies of the relatives of the patients and includes the categories of sharing or solving problems on their own, reactions to difficult events, and actions taken when feeling unwell. The second theme is about external support and obstacles in the care process and includes the difficulties of the care process, environmental support, care interest, social institution support, feedback and responses. The third theme of the study is about the physical and emotional effects of care on the participants and includes sleep patterns and mood categories. The final theme focuses on the impact of patient care on the social lives of the participants and includes the categories of social relationships, self-time, and friendships. When all results are evaluated together, it is seen that Alzheimer's disease has a progressive aspect and some patients have reached an advanced level of basic disease indicators in a short time. In addition, it is seen that some of them have reached an advanced level in a slow course with the contribution of treatment and care services they receive. Caregiving relatives of patients think that they have to organize their own lives according to the patient, from sleeping patterns to personal care, from regulating their emotional and physical structures to controlling their social lives, and this situation sometimes causes a decrease in their quality of life. It is considered that this study will contribute to the relevant literature in the context of its results. Among these elements, material cultural assets have an important place with their movable and immovable properties. Although carpets and rugs are movable cultural assets that reflect the cultural accumulation of the material and spiritual worlds of societies, they are also considered within the scope of intangible cultural heritage with their traditional structures. Carpets and rugs are documents of a deep-rooted tradition that reflects our culture. Beyond being a part of social life with its functions, it is one of the elements that reveal the cultural identity of societies with its qualities that show the design understanding and aesthetic taste of the period in which it was produced. Textiles, which are difficult to protect with their organic structures, are cultural elements that can strengthen the bond with the society and the culture they belong to. Having a special place in our weaving tradition, carpets and rugs are valued in museums and private collections depending on their cultural, historical and artistic value and contribute to the universal culture. In order to transfer these works to future generations without losing their value; It is important to reveal the cultural value it carries and to determine the correct approach in terms of protection and restoration. Depending on the cultural value of the carpet or rug to be repaired, the procedures and applications may vary. Refunctioning of a fabric used for decorative purposes in daily life is a priority for repair. In this study, repair techniques of carpets and rugs, pre-repair operations, repair techniques and post-repair processes are explained. Practices were carried out in Cengiz Akkuş restoration workshop in Isparta and Mustafa Solak restoration workshops in Aksaray Sultanhanı for literature research and field research method to document the subject. Witnessing his father, Halil’s killing by Esme’s lover Abbas, Hasan is destined to avenge his father’s death. How the patriarchal system is reproduced and the conditions that enable this reproduction exposed in the novel where the decisiveness of society and customs over Hasan’s experience throughout this course are masterfully depicted. The aim of this study is to examine how the relationship between the mom Esme and Hasan is ruined by the novel’s characters, especially by the grandmother after the killing of Halil and his murderer Abbas as well as how the child who has attempted to become the “protector” of the mother at the beginning turns into the “mom’s murderer”. Within this context, the violence and the oppression the child, as well as the mother, are exposed to will be discussed. Moreover, how violence is identified with masculinity and how Hasan is forced to practice violence to come of age in this frame are going to be discussed. Hasan will become the murderer of Esme who stands as the carrier of honour while he is the one who tried to protect the mother from pressure and violence at the beginning. In addition, how Esme’s honour has become an object of interrogation to condition Hasan to kill Esme and how the concept of honour is fictionalized to establish domination over women in a society where the man is determined as the owner of honour while the woman is determined as the carrier of honour will be discussed. Metaphor has permeated the Daily life, not only to language but to thought and action, and our conceptual system is fundamentally a metaphorical one. Put it differently, metaphor is the most basic process we use to conceptualise the world. However, it can be argued that metaphor explains not only how individuals conceptualise the world but how societies think. In this context, this study aims at determining the linguistic metaphors related to maritime, and to investigate, setting forth from these linguistic metaphors, whether it is possible to postulate conceptual metaphors. To this aim, the maritime terms, gathered from the Turkish Dictionary were searched in the Turkish National Corpus, and a database was established. This database was analysed using MIP-VU, and maritime-related linguistic metaphors were obtained. Conceptual metaphors were determined using these linguistic metaphors and later these conceptual metaphors were combined under common ones. The most prominent conceptual metaphor we obtained from our findings is EMOTIONS/IDEAS/INSTITUTIONS ARE VESSELS conceptual metaphor. In addition to knowledge, skills and experiences of the employees within the company, psychological capital; self-efficacy, hope, optimism and psychological resilience dimensions aim to provide maximum benefit from labour force for the companies. On the other hand, with its dimensions of political skill, social astuteness, interpersonal influence, networking ability and apparent sincerity, it foresees integration of organization members within the framework of organizational purposes, creating positive organizational climate, taking effective measures to ensure continuity of the company, while inspiring the environment with high performance. Work-life balance, of which importance has been gradually increasing, is examined with its dimensions of work-family and family-work conflict. The companies make regulations to improve working conditions within the scope of human resources plans and programs, for the individuals who have difficulty in achieving the balance between their roles that busy work life imposes on them and the life outside the work. Because of the family roles that patriarchal Turkish culture attributes to women and men and because individuals cannot make effective decisions within their family and social roles, they may have family-work conflict. The aim of this study has been determined to search the impact of psychological capital and political skill on work life balance. The universe of the study consists of employees who work in Istanbul province, service sector; education and logistics sectors being in the first place, also in retail, banking and informatics sector. As a result of the study, it has been observed that psychological capital and political skill have positive and significant impact on work-life balance. Another important result within the scope of the study is that psychological capital has more impact on work-life balance, compared to political skill. The most compatible structural equation model consisting of all these variables has been determined via path analysis and suggestions have been made to companies.
