This study examines how the concept of political communication has been shaped by different communication tools and methods since the existence of power and power relations; and how it responds to the requirements of our time within the framework of new media. The role of new media in today's world and its intersections with political communication are evaluated in detail. The effects of social media use, which has a relatively recent history in the world and in Turkey, on political communication are analyzed based on the practices of political actors and events. The scope of influence of political communication is examined from the past to the present in light of historical information, survey studies, and data collected in online environments. In particular, how political communication is positioned in the context of new media, along with its advantages and disadvantages, is discussed; and assessments are made on its possible future effects. Plato’s equality-based approach, which considers integrating women into the public sphere under certain conditions, is evaluated comparatively with Aristotle’s biological determinism, which defines women as inherently deficient and passive beings. Mythological figures such as Pandora and Helen are utilized to illustrate how women are characterized as dangerous, chaotic, and seductive, a perspective that merges with philosophical texts to culturally justify the exclusion of women from the political sphere. Through the examples of Athens and Sparta, it is observed that women assumed different roles depending on the political structures of these societies. Additionally, the legacy of these ancient perspectives is examined in relation to Islamic thought and Medieval Christian theology; modern feminist readings are employed to discuss the historical process of women’s subjectivation. Furthermore, the influence of ancient philosophy’s views on women on today’s gender norms is emphasized, and the necessity of critically reevaluating philosophical traditions is highlighted. This study reveals that gender inequality is not solely a sociological issue but also a multilayered problem with philosophical and cultural roots. Such events significantly affect the workforce and working life, further emphasizing the importance of trade unions. Trade unions not only advocate for workers' rights but also actively participate in disaster management processes, contributing to the strengthening of social solidarity. This study aims to comprehensively examine the roles undertaken by trade unions at the international level and in Turkey in the face of disasters. Disasters often lead to problems far beyond what the affected region or country can handle with its own resources. This situation necessitates international support for countries to address the damages caused by disasters. Globally, various international organizations stand out in responding to disasters. While some of these organizations focus on social aid and service activities related to disasters, others, despite having different primary objectives, also engage in disaster-related efforts. This study will address the activities of international organizations and trade unions in Turkey regarding disasters. Career adaptability refers to individuals’ capacity to adjust to changing work environments, cope with career-related challenges, and sustain professional development. Within the framework of Career Construction Theory, this concept is defined through four dimensions—concern, control, curiosity, and confidence—which explain how individuals manage their career processes. At the same time, employees’ job performance is shaped not only by their ability to adapt to external conditions but also by their personality traits. In this regard, proactive personality, which reflects the tendency to take initiative, seize opportunities, and drive change, plays a significant role in enhancing job performance. Therefore, it is assumed that proactive personality may act as a mediator in the relationship between career adaptability and job performance. The present study aims to examine the effect of career adaptability on job performance and to test the mediating role of proactive personality in this relationship. The research was conducted with data collected from 470 employees working in the service sector in Istanbul and analyzed through structural equation modeling (SEM). Demographic characteristics of the participants were taken into account during the analysis, and the data collection instruments included the Career Adaptability Scale developed by Savickas and Porfeli (2012), the Proactive Personality Scale developed by Bateman and Crant (1993), and the Job Performance Scale developed by Borman and Motowidlo (1993). The findings revealed that career adaptability has a strong positive effect on job performance (β = 0.691, p < 0.01) and that this effect is partially mediated by proactive personality (β = 0.289, 95% CI = 0.282–0.296). Among the sub-dimensions of career adaptability, confidence and curiosity were found to make significant contributions to job performance. Moreover, demographic variables such as gender, age, education, and income demonstrated the potential to influence these relationships, while marital status did not produce a significant difference. These results contribute to Career Construction Theory and personality-based performance models, emphasizing that organizations in the service sector can improve job performance by supporting career adaptability and promoting proactive behaviors through recruitment and training practices. Future studies are encouraged to investigate these relationships in different cultural contexts and using longitudinal research designs. The findings contribute to determining the human resource profile in healthcare institutions and provide important data for strategic human resources management. The study reveals that the majority of healthcare workers are female, university graduates, and have many years of work experience. This study aims to determine the mediating role of talent management in the impact of organizational climate on motivation among 254 healthcare workers. Correlation analysis revealed a positive and significant correlation of 42.6% (r=0.426, p=0.000) between motivation and the overall dimension of the organizational climate scale. Thus, a relationship between organizational climate and motivation was established, and hypothesis H1 was accepted. The core principles of Islamic finance prohibition of interest (riba), risk-sharing, asset-backing, and social justice are highly aligned with environmental and social sustainability objectives. Instruments such as green sukuk, murabaha, mudaraba, musharaka, waqf, and zakat-based projects are utilized to finance environmentally friendly investments, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste management, and sustainable agriculture. The literature review highlights the pioneering practices of Malaysia, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates at the global level, as well as the initiatives undertaken by participation banks and regulatory authorities in Türkiye. However, challenges such as lack of standardization, limited product diversity, and low investor awareness slow down the development process. The study identifies conceptual and practical gaps in the literature and provides recommendations for policymakers, financial institutions, and investors. Key suggestions include harmonizing Shariah-compliant green finance standards at the international level, developing environmental impact measurement criteria, diversifying products, and enhancing investor education activities. In conclusion, green Islamic finance models represent a strategic financial tool that can contribute not only to environmental sustainability but also to strengthening social justice and economic stability. Therefore, developing integrated strategies at both policy and implementation levels through a multi-stakeholder approach is of critical importance.
