The main purpose of the research is to investigate the relationship between fatigue severity and job performance of shopping mall employees, to investigate the variability of fatigue severity according to demographic characteristics and its effect on job performance. Data was collected in the research by survey method, which is one of the quantitative research methods; Face-to-face and voluntary basis, questions created from Fatigue Severity Scale and Job Performance Scale were applied to a total of 211 shopping mall employees working as sales consultants, cashiers and section attendants in 17 Burda Shopping Mall and Troypark Shopping Mall in Çanakkale city center in 2023 and the results of the research were analyzed with SPSS 26 program. Frequency Analysis, One-Way Anova Test, Normality Test, Simple Regression Analysis and Correlation Analysis were performed in order to examine the relationships between the variables in the research and to determine the characteristics of the participants. According to the results of the Correlation and Simple Regression Analysis, no relationship was determined between fatigue severity and job performance in the examined sample and no effect was found. When the ANOVA test was performed to examine whether there were differences between fatigue severity, work performance and categorical variables, significant results were shared; it was understood that fatigue severity was a significant difference according to the standing times of shopping mall employees, task performance, which is one of the sub-dimensions of work performance, was a significant difference according to the positions of the employees, and working hours were a significant difference on the contextual performance level, which is a sub-dimension of work performance. The research was aimed to contribute to the relevant literature in terms of the fact that studies on fatigue severity are generally conducted in the field of science and are limited in social sciences. Due to the scarcity of studies on fatigue severity in social sciences, it is both a theoretical contribution and a practical benefit for the sector in which the research is conducted.
